Invited lecture at the NTNU TVM4141 course on Infrastructure Asset Management, Institute of Water and Environment of NTNU in Trondheim (Norway), on Advanced hydraulic modelling and leakage management in water distribution networks with training on the use of WDNetXL system. The course is addressed to Master students of the 5th year in Civil Engineering.

The objective of the lecture is to broaden and deepen students' knowledge on the approaches of infrastructure asset management, introducing them to the WDNetXL system, which is conceived for analysis, planning and management of water distribution networks.

Advanced Water Distribution Network Analysis and RRTC devices

wdnet xlThe  course will provide key concepts and methodologies for WDN analysis also accounting for Remote Real Time Controlled (RRTC) devices within a comprehensive and consistent framework using the WDNetXL Analysis and RRTC modules.

The WDNetXL system is intended for practitioners, researchers and students to support for WDN analysis, design and management within a comprehensive and consistent framework by using MS-Excel® as data management interface.

The WDNetXL paradigm permits to easily customize existing analyses and/or develop new functionalities based on peculiar utility needs of the water utilities.
